Clearview has created the Home Solar Program to provide neighbors the financial means to purchase a cost-effective solar energy system for their property
Clearview wants to spur the adoption of residential solar panels by neighbors of the Project who support it and solar energy. Although Clearview will be a utility-scale facility that supplies wholesale power to the electric grid, the same basic technology is offered by many Ohio-based companies to produce residential power.
To that end, Clearview has created the Clearview Home Solar Program, which will be implemented during the construction of the Project. The Program is designed to take advantage of the Project and the associated economies of scale to provide neighbors the financial means to purchase a cost-effective solar energy system for their property from a highly qualified residential solar installer.
Under the Program, owners of adjacent homes who are eligible and subscribe to the Program will
receive, after the start of construction of the Project, a payment to enable them to purchase a
ground-mounted home solar system from an installer recommended by Clearview. The home solar system
is designed to substantially reduce the homeowner’s electric bill for decades.

Home Energy Savings
Although each situation will vary, based on the on-site solar energy data collected in connection with the development of the Project, Clearview estimates that the home solar system will generate enough power to reduce a homeowner’s electric bill by $63/month and $38,000 over the life of the system.
If Clearview receives a final and non-appealable OPSB Certificate by December 1, 2021, neighbors will receive a larger system that will result in estimated savings of $78/month and $48,000 over the life of the system.
